E70000 Relays U70000 and URS70000 Relays

U70000
URS70000
E70000

Our relay modules are available  with various contact configurations, connector types, sizes from 1x2 to 1x24 ports, and three different control types. The frequency range is from DC to 800MHz (size Dependant) and has many other options you can specify to meet your requirement.

Originally developed in 1968, the product line has significantly evolved and is currently available in three differently controlled versions:

  • DC controlled relay coil (U70000)
  • RS-232C control port (URS70000)
  • 10/100 Ethernet port (E70000)
  • NOTE: Although it is available in standard configurations, the design construction makes it simple to build for custom or special requirements. Our technical staff can help configure the exact module to meet your specific relay application. Contact the factory.

    Detailed Description

USC acquired the product line of Matrix Systems Corporation in April of 2007. One of the product lines that USC continues to build is this unique relay module line. The U70000, URS70000 and E70000 relay modules are unique in the relay industry due to the rugged design, long contact life and excellent shielding characteristics.

Enjoy the known benefits of mechanical relay elements without worry of relay-life, or hassle of maintenance. Our proprietary high reliability relay element coupled with our elegant and rugged design gives you the performance and maintainability you demand. The modules are a 1xN relay design and are available with various contact types including normally open, self-terminating, coaxial/triaxial, and levels of isolation.

There are three versions of control with the simplest being the U70000 model which is controlled by applying the appropriate DC voltage to the control connector (DB-25P). Optionally, install up to 24 of the U70000 modules into a Model U11600 rack mount chassis (3RU) complete with relay drivers, remote control ports and power supplies as shown in the specification sheet. It has an LCD display and can be populated with up to 24 relay modules. LED illuminated driver cards must be installed for each relay installed. Status of the relays can be viewed through the top of the chassis.

Alternatively, URS70000 is a 1xN relay (like the Series U70000), but has a built-in serial control port (RS-232C) as well. The URS70000 can be used in a standalone installation since the control port and wall mount style power supply is included.

The newest version is the E70000 which includes a 10/100 Ethernet control port. The E70000 model can be controlled by a web browser, RouteWarePRO, or you can telnet into it. It supports TCP/IP, SNMP (v1/v2C/v3), and also can be powered by a PoE hub/switch.  Older URS70000 serial units can have the controller replaced and upgraded from serial to Ethernet. Construction Notes

These relay modules are designed to maintain coaxial switching continuity over a wide range of critical and high environmental applications. The housings are constructed of precision machined aluminum alloy for structural integrity and hard anodized for durability. All signal paths are plated and the covers are gasketed for maximum EMI protection. The basic reed switch elements are hermetically sealed in nitrogen filled gas envelopes and employ rhodium plated contacts to insure non-stick operation. The contact assemblies can be replaced in the field if needed.
